Its software provides front office teams all the tools they need to collaborate together and create a great customer experience.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAs of 2020, HubSpot employs over 3,500 team members in 10 offices around the world and has nearly 80,000 customers in 120+ countries.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nSince its inception, HubSpot has focused significant resources on both people and market intelligence.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n<em>People:<\/em> Sales managers want to understand what their best reps are doing and replicate it across their entire team. They want to ramp new reps faster and set them up for success. Introducing a team to new software can be a nightmare. Creating accounts, setting up and managing training sessions, confirming all-team adoption and true learning is happening \u2014 all of it can be stressful and complicated.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nHubSpot tries to bypass some of those obstacles by creating pilot groups to test new technology before it (a) purchases, and then (b) distributes to team members.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n\u201cThese pilot groups or \u2018red teams\u2019 as we call them at HubSpot, help us not only evaluate a potential new software, they also allow us to create strong advocates and champions to help during the roll-out process,\u201d Morgan Jacobson, HubSpot\u2019s Principal Manager of Sales Strategy and Systems shared.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nThe Gong testing process was no different; however, the results were quite unique.\n<\/p>\n\n<block-embed class=\"Block EmbedBlock mb-small mt-none has-ratio\" style=\"max-width:1240px;--block-ratio-height:281;--block-ratio-width:500\" block-id=\"def255\" data-block=\"def255\">\n\n<div class=\"Block-inner EmbedBlock-inner\" slot=\"content\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"HubSpot\u2019s Experience with the Global Rollout and Adoption of Gong\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bZqH5HIXH4k?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/block-embed>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAt the end of the pilot, Morgan asked the \u201cred team\u201d what they thought.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n<strong>Morgan said he \u201cknew Gong was a keeper when the team said they would literally quit their jobs if we didn\u2019t move forward with Gong.\u201d<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nOnce HubSpot purchased, then began rolling out Gong, the word quickly got out.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n\u201cOnce our team learned about Gong, it spread like wildfire and everybody wanted to use it,\u201d said Libby Maurer, HubSpot\u2019s VP of User Experience\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAnother team member said, \u201cWe knew Gong was working because people won\u2019t shut up about it! People are constantly Slacking me to tell me what they love about Gong.\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nThat\u2019s genuine. That\u2019s authentic.\n<\/p>\n\n<block-title class=\"Block TitleBlock is-h2\" style=\"max-width:1240px;--block-icon-size:32px\" block-id=\"f375ed\" data-block=\"f375ed\">\n\n<div class=\"Block-inner TitleBlock-inner\" slot=\"content\">\n<div class=\"ratio-1x1 Block-icon TitleBlock-icon\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"my-0 h2 Block-title TitleBlock-title\">PEOPLE INTELLIGENCE: WHY HUBSPOT NEEDED GONG &#8211; SALES AND COACHING<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/block-title>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nThe timing of Gong could not have been better.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nTheir current sales and coaching process was not sustainable.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n\u201cHubSpot has always had a coaching culture,\u201d says Morgan. \u201cIt\u2019s part of our DNA. Sales managers have weekly one-on-ones with reps to go through individual pipeline coaching and call reviews.\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nMorgan\u2019s job, in his own words, is \u201cto reduce the friction typically associated with selling and a rapidly growing company.\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAnd HubSpot is just that \u2014 a rapidly growing company.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\n\u201cWe are constantly adding new products and changing methodologies,\u201d said Morgan.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAnd with hundreds of salespeople over seven continents, coaching at scale was a huge challenge. \u201cUncovering coachable moments were nearly impossible,\u201d Morgan shared.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nIn bringing on Gong, HubSpot was trying to solve two big issues:\n<\/p>\n\n<block-list class=\"Block ListBlock gap-normal font-normal marker-color-lilac is-normalSize marker-style-default\" style=\"max-width:1240px;--block-marker-color:var(--color-lilac)\" block-id=\"c7c7cf\" data-block=\"c7c7cf\">\n\n<div class=\"Block-inner ListBlock-inner\" slot=\"content\">\n<ol><block-list-item class=\"Block ListItemBlock\" block-id=\"e4797f\" data-block=\"e4797f\">\n\n<div class=\"Block-inner ListItemBlock-inner\" slot=\"content\">\n<li class=\"has-default-color has-text-color\">Reduce new rep ramp time<\/li>\n<\/div>\n<\/block-list-item>\n\n<block-list-item class=\"Block ListItemBlock\" block-id=\"e4797f\" data-block=\"e4797f\">\n\n<div class=\"Block-inner ListItemBlock-inner\" slot=\"content\">\n<li class=\"has-default-color has-text-color\">Increase rep productivity<\/li>\n<\/div>\n<\/block-list-item>\n\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/block-list>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nIn a pre-Gong world, it was extremely challenging to understand if a new rep was actually learning the material. Are the new hire training and coaching concepts translating into good sales conversations? Are salespeople conceptualizing the product and services offered by HubSpot?\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nThe same sort of uncertainty existed when it came to new product\/feature launches. Salespeople need to get trained quickly, efficiently, and consistently. The sooner they are well-versed, the sooner they can start selling.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nBut it\u2019s tricky to understand how quickly salespeople are adopting the playbooks and sound bites created for new product launches \u2014 especially pre-Gong. In fact, there really wasn\u2019t a way to effectively track adoption.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nNobody really knew. No data existed.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAccording to Morgan, <strong>Gong equips sales managers with the data to understand adoption in seconds vs. hours or days: \u201cWith Gong, you can create a report in 2 seconds.\u201d<\/strong> Annalisa Specter, Sales Manager for North America, Small Businesses, agrees. \u201cSince adopting Gong, we\u2019ve seen a significant increase in our productivity per rep. <strong>New reps are ramping up faster and getting over 100% quota within the first few months of their ramp.<\/strong>\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nAnd adoption rates have been through the roof.\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nKieran O\u2019Flynn, Sales Manager for SMB in Mainland Europe said he has <strong>received more call recordings from his reps in two weeks than he did in all of 2018.<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"font-normal is-normalSize\" style=\"max-width:1240px\">\n\nSo, yeah.
